June at Riverfront A Month of Joy, Unity, and Progress

A New Chapter Begins

June at Riverfront was bustling with many events and activities that brought smiles, laughter, and support among our residents and staff. From festive celebrations to heartfelt moments of appreciation, we’ve had an incredible month filled with joyful experiences and meaningful interactions. We continue to work hard to offer top-notch care while enjoying the beautiful scenery around our location. Our commitment to creating a vibrant and supportive community remains strong, and we are excited to share some highlights from this past month.

Activities That BROUGHT Us Together

Flag Day Celebration

On Flag Day, our residents came together to say the pledge of allegiance to a new flag and enjoyed patriotic songs from World War I and World War II. They also had tasty red, white, and blue parfaits! It was a day filled with pride and joy at Riverfront. 💙

Father's Day Feast

Father's Day was special at Riverfront. The men enjoyed a meal with burgers and blueberry lemonade, just like the old days. They shared stories about their children and had a great time together. It was a fun day at Riverfront Rehabilitation Center.

Joyful Juneteenth

We celebrated Juneteenth with a feast of traditional foods. Residents and staff enjoyed fried chicken, candied yams, collard greens, mac and cheese, and grape and orange soda. It was a joyful and reflective day. Great things are always happening at Riverfront!

Walmart Adventure

Our residents had a fun trip to Walmart and Subway for lunch. They enjoyed shopping and picked up many items, making it a fun and productive day out. Shopping till you drop at Riverfront is always a hit!

Women's Support Group

The first Women's Support Group meeting was a huge success. The women talked about empowerment, shared their goals, and worked on healing from past traumas. They enjoyed delicious snacks while listening to "Ladies' Night," making it a day of connection and support.

Therapy and Rehabilitation Success Stories

Kay Ryan was admitted to Riverfront with weakness and Parkinsonism, needing help with self-care and mobility. Determined to regain her independence and return to Puerto Rico, Kay underwent three weeks of intensive therapy. Her hard work paid off, and she is now ready for her flight home!

Riverfront Rehab is proud to congratulate Ravanna on graduating from our rehabilitation program! Your hard work and determination have paid off, and we wish you all the best.
